The Consensus Statement on Depression in Adults: How to Improve Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment was produced by a panel of experts led by the Hon. Michael Kirby Chair, Mental Health Commission of Canada.
This consensus statement was prepared by an independent panel of health professionals, academics, and public representatives based on:
- presentations by and questioning of experts working in areas relevant to the conference questions;
- information by people living with depression;
- questions and comments from conference attendees and speakers during open discussion periods; and
- closed deliberations by the jury.
