Self-Monitoring in Diabetes
About the Self-Monitoring in Diabetes Consensus Development Conference
14 – 16 November 2006
In November 2006 the Institute of Health Economics (IHE) hosted the Consensus Development Conference on Self-Monitoring in Diabetes, looking specifically at the cost of testing, whether people with diabetes use test strips to monitor their blood sugar levels and, if so, whether they act on the information generated from these tests. The Consensus Statement on the benefits and costs of testing supplies for self-monitoring of blood glucose in diabetes was developed to inform patients, health policy, and practice.
