News Release: The IHE congratulates Dr. Dat Tran as the Network of Alberta Health Economist (NOAHE) Health Economics Scholar Award (Fellowship) recipient

Dr. Dat Tran is presented with a NOAHE Health Economics Scholar Award (Fellowship).

The Institute of Health Economics (IHE) is pleased to congratulate Dr. Dat Tran, PhD, as a recipient of the Network of Alberta Health Economists (NOAHE) Health Economics Scholar Award for 2017-2018. This fellowship, funded through the Health Funding and Economics Capacity (HFEC) Grant supported by Alberta Health, and in partnership with the University of Alberta, supports the professional and educational development of some of Alberta’s most promising health economics researchers.

Dr. Tran has recently completed a PhD in Health Economics at the University of Alberta. He is also a pharmacist by training. His main research interests and expertise are in the areas of HIV/AIDS, monitoring and evaluation, health system strengthening, health information management system, reproductive health, maternal and child health, health outcomes and health services research, and health economic evaluations.
